Cider Sorbet – Christmassy

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 ml dry cider
  • 50 ml Calvados
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 g water
  • 2 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 3 star anise

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Make a sugar syrup from sugar, water, cinnamon, and star anise. Measure out 100 ml of this. Chill the sugar syrup, cider, and Calvados thoroughly, then pour it into an ice cream maker and freeze. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, place the ingredients in a bowl in the freezer and stir frequently to prevent crystals from forming. Serve as an appetizer before a poultry dish such as duck or goose.
