Classic potato gratin

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes (approx.)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup of cream (approx.)
  • 300 ml milk (approx.)
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

The amount of ingredients depends on the size of your casserole dish, hence the approximate amount! Peel and halve the garlic cloves. Rub the garlic cloves into the casserole dish. Thinly slice the potatoes and place them 2-3 cm high in the casserole dish (fish scales). Pour in the milk until you can see it under the top layer of potatoes. Pour the cream on top. Season with salt. Cook at 160°C fan/convection oven for approx. 40 minutes (a brown crust should have formed on the gratin and the potatoes should be soft (test with a fork).
