Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1.1 kg potatoes, peeled
- 150 g smoked bacon
- 1 onion(s)
- 200 ml cream
- 300 ml milk
- some olive oil
- 1 garlic clove(s), if you like
- 3 tsp, heaped beef broth, clear, instant
- Pepper, freshly ground
- n. B. cheese, grated
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes
Brown the finely diced bacon, onion, and garlic in a little oil. Add the sliced potatoes and fry briefly. Deglaze with milk and cream and bring to a boil. Season with instant broth and pepper and stir in. Remove from heat, transfer to an ovenproof dish, and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 45 minutes, until the surface turns golden brown. Let rest in the oven for about 15 minutes.
