Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 80 g oat flakes
- 60 g protein powder (e.g. cookies & cream)
- 50 g almonds, ground
- 1 egg(s)
- 250 g low-fat curd cheese
- ½ bar of dark chocolate
- 1 tbsp cinnamon powder
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 bottle of vanilla flavor
- ½ bottle of lemon flavor
- 1 shot of milk
- 3 g baking powder
- 3 g baking soda
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
for about 20 oatmeal cookies
First, mix the low-fat quark with the milk and egg whites in a bowl until it reaches a creamy consistency. Then, in another bowl, mix the ground almonds with the cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda. Add the mixture to the quark along with the egg and mix. Now chop the chocolate into small pieces and add it to the mixture along with the flavorings and honey (use more honey depending on how sweet you want it). Finally, mix in the oats. Using a teaspoon, place small heaps of the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 10-15 minutes. It’s best to take them out a little early, even if they’re still a little soft, but not too brown, as they’ll harden further and otherwise become too dry and less fluffy. Depending on how large you make the cookies, they’ll make about 20 cookies. These cookies are a great substitute; they have no added sugar, flour, or anything else. Of course, you can’t compare them to regular cookies, but if you’re eating clean all week and have a craving for something sweet, they’re just the thing.
