Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 ½ liters of milk
  • 5 tsp sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 250 g wheat bran, finely ground
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Mix the wheat flour with eggs, a pinch of salt, and 1 teaspoon of sugar to form a dough. Bring the milk to a boil with the remaining sugar, salt, and vanilla sugar. Using teaspoons, form small dumplings (Klüten) from the dough and cook them in the simmering milk until they float to the top.
