Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 125 g dark chocolate, possibly leftover Santa Clauses
  • 50 g butter
  • 80 g sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 150 g flour
  • 25 g cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 20 g powdered sugar, approx.

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Christmas cookies

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler, using any leftover Santas. Using a hand mixer, combine the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and egg, then add the melted chocolate. Combine the flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder and add to the other ingredients. Refrigerate the mixture for 1 hour. Then form into balls. Roll them in powdered sugar and bake at 180°C on the middle rack of the oven for 12-15 minutes. The balls can also be rolled in powdered sugar after baking.
