Coconut Beijinho

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g condensed milk, sweetened
  • 30 g butter
  • 100 g desiccated coconut

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Brazilian confectionery

Pour the sweetened condensed milk into a small saucepan and add the butter. Heat both over medium heat, stirring constantly, but do not allow it to boil. After about 10 minutes, the cream will thicken so that you can draw a “road” in the pan—that is, you will see the bottom of the pan for a brief moment before the cream runs back down again. When this happens, the mixture has the right consistency. Pour the cream onto a plate and let it cool completely; it will firm up as it does so. With very lightly greased hands (use butter), form the mixture into small beijinho de coco (coconut balls) and then roll them in desiccated coconut. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
