Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 250 g flour
  • 250 g chocolate sprinkles
  • 3 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • ¼ liter cognac
  • 6 egg whites
  • some fat, for the mold
  • 150 g dark chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 25 minutes

Cream the butter, sugar, and egg yolks until fluffy. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and cognac. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and fold into the batter. Grease a loaf pan and pour in the batter. Preheat the oven to 175°C (fan/convection oven) and bake the cake for about 70 minutes (test with a toothpick). Melt the chocolate coating in a hot water bath and spread it over the cooled cake.
