Cola herb syrup

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g herb sprig(s) (cola herb)
  • 60 g citric acid
  • 1 ½ liters of water
  • 1 kg sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Place washed and well-drained cola leaves in a pot with the citric acid and pour boiling water over them. Cover and let steep at room temperature for 2 days. Strain and mix well with the sugar. Heat everything and simmer gently for about 5 minutes. Pour into sterile bottles while still hot. Store the syrup in a cool, dark place.
