Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1 white cabbage
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Vinegar
  • Oil, e.g. sunflower oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 hours; Total time approx. 10 hours 30 minutes

Remove any wilted leaves from the white cabbage and rinse briefly. Then shred the white cabbage into fine strips. Place in a bowl, season with salt, and mix thoroughly by hand. Let it sit overnight. The next day, season again with salt and pepper, if desired, and add vinegar and oil to taste. Note: For approximately 750g of white cabbage, you need 1 teaspoon of salt. Adjust the salt according to the weight of the cabbage. Please follow the instructions, as the cabbage really doesn’t need more than that. If you like, you can also add caraway seeds to the white cabbage.
