Coleslaw – Cleverly Dressed

The perfect coleslaw – cleverly dressed recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 650 -700 g White cabbage
  • 100 g Onions (shallots, red onions)
  • 1,5 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 -,5 tsp Ground caraway seeds
  • 4 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 6 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 -3 tbsp Freshly chopped mint (or 2 teaspoons dried)
  • 2 -3 tbsp Pepper
  1. Slice the cabbage finely or cut it very finely. Mix with 1 teaspoon each of salt and sugar and knead vigorously to break the fibers. Let it steep for 20-30 minutes and then squeeze out the water.
  2. Cut the onions into thin, short strips. Mix all the ingredients and season to taste. Cover and leave to stand for at least an hour.

  1. Instead of lemon juice, you can also use white balsamic vinegar, but then you need a little more.
