American coleslaw – the recipe
The salad is prepared very quickly. For it to taste really good, however, it should be steeped for at least two hours.
- Wash the vegetables and cut the white cabbage, red cabbage, and carrots into thin strips about three centimeters long.
- Mix all the other ingredients, i.e. the mayonnaise, lemon juice, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper, in a large bowl to form an even dressing.
- Add the coleslaw and mix thoroughly. Cover the bowl and place the coleslaw in the refrigerator for two hours.
- The coleslaw is then well drained and can be served.
