Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg minced meat, half and half
  • 6 onions, diced
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 jars of mushrooms, each 530 g drained weight
  • 2 jars of tomato peppers (165 g each) drained weight
  • 500 g peas, frozen
  • 1 can pineapple pieces, 490 g drained weight
  • 2 jars of chili sauce or barbecue sauce (320 g each)
  • 1 liter of cream
  • ½ bottle of curry ketchup, hot, 225 g
  • e.g. meat broth
  • 750 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Party soup

Brown the minced meat with finely diced onions, season with salt and pepper. Add the mushrooms and their liquid, the drained tomatoes, peppers, and frozen peas. Continue to top up with the pineapple chunks (with liquid), chili sauce, cream, and curry ketchup. Finally, add enough meat broth to cover the soup, stirring occasionally. Let it simmer for 1 hour on low heat, stirring occasionally. Tip: You can also cover the mixture and place it in the oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 1 hour.
