Colorful farmer's soup

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g beans, white (dried)
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 liter meat broth (also instant)
  • 400 g beans, green
  • pepper
  • 4 Bockwurst
  • 1 can corn kernels (250g)
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • ½ bunch chives

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Grandma’s style stew

Soak the white beans in water overnight. Peel and dice the carrots. Finely dice the onion. Heat the oil in a large pot and sauté the diced vegetables. Place the white beans in a colander, drain well, and add to the diced vegetables along with the broth. Simmer for about 45 minutes. Trim and wash the green beans, and add them to the stew 15 minutes before the end of the cooking time. Season with pepper. Slice the frankfurters. Place the corn kernels in a colander and drain well. Add both to the stew and heat through. Season again to taste. Finely chop the chives. Refine the farmer’s soup with sour cream, serve, and sprinkle with the chives.
