Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 125 g butter
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • ½ bottle of flavoring (rum)
  • 125 g flour
  • 125 g cornstarch
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 500 ml buttermilk, or slightly less

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Easter pastries

Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy, then add the remaining ingredients along with the egg yolks and fold in the beaten egg whites. Bake in a very hot, well-greased waffle iron until crispy. Serve the waffles fresh, sprinkled with powdered sugar. You can also fill them with fruit or jam.
