Ingredients

  • 250 g Butter
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla sugar
  • 1 piece Organic egg yolks
  • 100 g Desiccated coconut
  • 100 g Ground almonds
  • 50 g Dried apple rings
  • 300 g Flour
  • Apple jelly

Instructions

  • Cut the apple rings into very small cubes and fry the desiccated coconut with a tablespoon of sugar in a pan.
  • Mix the butter, egg yolk and sugar until frothy. First add the almonds, apple cubes and roasted coconut flakes and knead with your hands to form a smooth dough, then weigh in the flour and do the same. .
  • Line baking trays (three) with paper or foil and now form small cherry-sized balls and place these on the trays with a gap.
  • Use the handle of a wooden spoon to make holes in the balls. (Caution! The dough sometimes tears open.) If the dough sticks to the handle of the wooden spoon, dip it in flour every now and then.
  • Bake at 175 degrees for about 15 minutes, until the balls have risen a little and have slowly taken on color. When you take them out, they're incredibly soft.
  • Heat the apple jelly and draw it into a disposable syringe. Now fill the "holes" of the slightly cooled balls with it and let them cool down completely.
  • Fill in cans and hide. 😉
