Cookies: Mozart Stars
The perfect cookies: mozart stars recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Dough:
- 150 g Flour
- 50 g Raw nougat mass
- 50 g Powdered sugar
- 1 Egg yolk
- 80 g Soft butter
- Salt
- Vanilla pulp
Filling:
- 140 g Marzipan raw mass
- 40 g Soft butter
- 40 g Chopped pistachios
- 1 Egg yolk
- 1 Pck Puff pastry
- Powdered sugar
- For the dough, place the flour on a work surface with powdered sugar, salt, egg yolk, nougat and butter and quickly work into a dough. Wrap in foil and refrigerate for 3 hours.
- For the filling, mix the marzipan with butter, pistachios and egg yolks.
- Knead the dough again and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured work surface. Spread the marzipan mixture on top and smooth it out.
- Place the puff pastry on top, prick with a fork and brush with egg white.
- Preheat the oven to 200 C °. Take a star cutter, dip it in flour and cut out stars from the dough. Dip the puff pastry side in the sugar then place on a tray with baking paper and bake for about 10-12 minutes, then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
