Cookies: Mozart Stars

The perfect cookies: mozart stars recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Dough:

  • 150 g Flour
  • 50 g Raw nougat mass
  • 50 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 80 g Soft butter
  • Salt
  • Vanilla pulp

Filling:

  • 140 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 40 g Soft butter
  • 40 g Chopped pistachios
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1 Pck Puff pastry
  • Powdered sugar
  1. For the dough, place the flour on a work surface with powdered sugar, salt, egg yolk, nougat and butter and quickly work into a dough. Wrap in foil and refrigerate for 3 hours.
  2. For the filling, mix the marzipan with butter, pistachios and egg yolks.
  3. Knead the dough again and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured work surface. Spread the marzipan mixture on top and smooth it out.
  4. Place the puff pastry on top, prick with a fork and brush with egg white.
  5. Preheat the oven to 200 C °. Take a star cutter, dip it in flour and cut out stars from the dough. Dip the puff pastry side in the sugar then place on a tray with baking paper and bake for about 10-12 minutes, then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
