Cooking quail eggs – you should pay attention to this
In order for you to succeed in preparing the eggs, you should observe the following tips:
- Chicken eggs are punctured before cooking so that the air in them can escape and the shell cannot break during cooking. You should avoid this step with quail eggs, as the air bubble in them is much smaller and there is a risk that you will puncture the membrane instead.
- If this happens, the contents of the egg escape during cooking. Therefore, the quail eggs should not be pricked.
- If you want to boil a soft-boiled egg, the cooking time should not exceed 2-3 minutes. The egg is hard from about the fourth minute.
- If you want to boil your quail egg hard, it is advisable to already put the egg in the cold water. This reduces the risk of shell breaking.
