Corn with Garam Masala

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 corn cobs
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp spice mix (garam masala)
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 chili pepper(s), green
  • 1 red chili pepper(s)
  • 100 ml milk
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Clean and wash the corn, and separate the kernels from the cob with a sharp knife. Heat the butter in a pan until foamy. Add the garam masala, mustard seeds, and corn kernels and fry while stirring. Clean, wash, and halve the chilies, remove the stems and seeds, and add the finely diced pods. Pour in the milk, season with salt, and simmer gently, covered, until the corn is tender. The milk should then be reduced and the kernels dry. Add a little more milk if necessary.
