Cornmeal porridge with water

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 ml water
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch(s) salt
  • 7 tbsp cornmeal for polenta
  • 1 large egg yolk

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Quick, easy, delicious, without milk

Rinse a pot with cold water, then pour the measured water into the pot. Mix in all ingredients except the cornmeal and egg yolk and bring to a boil. Once boiling, remove the pot from the heat. Sprinkle in the cornmeal and whisk. Bring back to a boil briefly. Caution: It may splash. Remove the pot from the heat and fold in the egg yolk. The porridge tastes especially good with raspberries, strawberries, or peaches.
