Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

quick, Christmas bread for afternoon coffee

Pour the lukewarm milk into the bread maker, add the flour, place the softened butter in one corner, and the salt in another. Then sprinkle the brown sugar, cinnamon, hazelnuts, and dried yeast on top. Place the baking pan in the bread maker and set it to “Quick,” “Express,” or a similar setting, depending on your appliance. Select a light browning level. Add the cranberries and marzipan when the beep sounds after 10 minutes. My bread maker takes 1 hour and 20 minutes. It kneads for 13 minutes (beeps after 10 minutes), lets the dough rise for 20 minutes, and then bakes for 43 minutes. The bread tastes delicious with a little butter in the afternoon with coffee or tea. Especially during Advent, of course.
