Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta
  • 500 g chicken breast fillet(s)
  • 2 large onions
  • e.g. butter
  • 1 tsp, heaped flour
  • 1 cup of cream, approx. 200 ml
  • 1 cup of processed cheese, approx. 200 g
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • n. B. Vegetable stock powder
  • n. B. Maggi

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Prepare the pasta according to the package instructions. Briefly rinse the fillets and pat dry. Depending on their size, cut each into 2-3 pieces, season with salt and pepper, and fry in a hot pan until golden brown. Peel the onions and slice them into thin rings. Heat the butter in a pan and fry the thinly sliced ​​onions for about 15 minutes. Add a little flour and let them sweat slightly, then season with salt and pepper. Add the vegetable stock, deglaze with the cream, and let it simmer briefly. Now add the fillets to the sauce. To make the sauce thicker and creamier, add the processed cheese. Finally, season the sauce to taste and, if desired, add a little more salt, pepper, Maggi, and vegetable stock powder. Rösti, rice, and chips are also delicious instead of pasta.
