Cream rice a la bear

Spread the love

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 250 g rice pudding
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 400 ml water
  • 600 ml cream
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • e.g. cinnamon
  • Sugar
  • Applesauce, fruit puree
  • Fruit, fresh
  • chocolate sauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

not a “slimming recipe”, but sooooo delicious

Melt the butter in a large, wide saucepan (with a lid). Add the rice pudding and sauté briefly in the butter. Add the water, cream, vanilla sugar, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat and simmer the rice pudding gently for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Turn off the stove, cover the pan, and let the rice pudding sit for 30 to 40 minutes. Divide among 8 small bowls. Serve warm, lukewarm, or cold with cinnamon sugar, applesauce/apple puree, fruit puree, chocolate sauce, fresh fruit/fruit salad as a dessert. My husband, however, prefers the rice pudding as a main course, thickly covered with cinnamon sugar and applesauce. This makes just enough rice for 3 to 4 people.
