Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 125 g ham, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ¼ onion(s)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 100 ml milk
  • 1 pack of cream
  • ½ spring onion(s)
  • 1 tsp chili powder, from the mill
  • ½ tsp salt (rose petal salt)
  • salt and pepper
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel the garlic and onion and dice them into small pieces. Add a little oil to the pan and fry the ham cubes with the garlic and onion until crispy. Once the ham is crispy, add the sugar, stir immediately, and let it caramelize slightly while stirring. Then deglaze with cream and milk and bring to a boil over low heat. Wash the spring onion, cut it into 0.5 cm rings, and add it to the sauce. Now add the freshly ground chili, the rose petal salt, and season with salt and pepper to taste. This sauce can be served with pasta, gnocchi, etc.
