Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 vanilla pods
  • ½ liter cream
  • 100 g almond(s), ground
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 125 g sugar
  • ¾ liter vodka

Split open the vanilla pods and scrape out the seeds. Save the seeds for later! Bring the cream, vanilla pods, and almonds to a boil, remove from the heat, and let it steep for 10 minutes (longer is fine, too). Remove the pods and pour the almond cream into a cheesecloth, strain, and squeeze out the excess liquid. Whisk the egg yolks and sugar until thick and foamy, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Then slowly add the almond cream and seeds. Finally, slowly stir in the vodka. Bottle the liqueur and store in a cool, dark place for about a week. Shake before serving and keep refrigerated.
