Cream variation on a bed of cherries

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 jar sour cherries, pitted, sugared (350 g)
  • 250 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 125 ml Cremefine Vanilla
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet of pudding powder (vanilla flavor)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • Cinnamon powder
  • Sour cherries
  • Almond flakes or nuts

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Drain the cherries thoroughly using a sieve. Collect the juice and divide the cherries among the dessert glasses, reserving a few for garnish. Mix 5 tablespoons of cherry juice with the vanilla pudding powder. Bring the remaining juice to a boil with the cinnamon, stirring continuously, then stir in the dissolved pudding. Remove from the heat and, after 2 minutes, spread the mixture over the cherries. This should be done quickly, as the mixture sets quickly. Now mix the quark with the cremefine and vanilla sugar and divide the cream among the glasses. Garnish with cinnamon, the remaining cherries, and almonds or nuts. Tastes good cold, but also when the pudding is still warm over the bed of cherries.
