Creamed carrots

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 3 carrots
  • salt water
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt
  • 1 shallot(s)
  • 4 tbsp cream
  • ½ tsp instant chicken broth

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel the carrots, slice them thinly, and cook them in salted water for about 10 minutes, until they still retain a bit of bite. Drain the water and set the carrots aside. Melt the butter in a saucepan and sauté the shallot until translucent. Now add the carrots, pour in the cream, and season with chicken broth and salt. This makes an excellent side dish for many dishes.
