Creamed herring with boiled potatoes

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 6 m.-sized potatoes
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 3 gherkins
  • 1 apple
  • 120 g fish fillet(s) (cream herring fillets)
  • ½ jar buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 2 tsp salad cream
  • 1 tsp vegetable broth
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Boil the potatoes with their skins on until tender and let cool. Meanwhile, chop the onion, apple, gherkins, and creamed herring into small pieces. Season the cream sauce with buttermilk, sour cream, salad dressing, vegetable broth, salt, and pepper. Add the chopped vegetables to the cream sauce and serve with boiled potatoes. A quick and inexpensive meal. Peel and dice the potatoes, and add them to the remaining ingredients for a delicious salad.
