Creamy-fruity tomato sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 can of tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 onions
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 250 ml cream
  • 250 ml vegetable stock
  • 100 ml white wine
  • 100 g processed cheese
  • 100 g crème fraîche
  • 4 tsp tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 tbsp herbs (parsley, basil, oregano)

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Sauté the diced onions and crushed garlic in hot oil. Add the tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Add the cream, broth, and white wine and bring to a gentle boil. Now add the tomato paste, processed cheese, and crème fraîche. Remove the pot from the heat and blend everything. Return the pot to the heat and add the herbs, then simmer on low heat for a few more minutes. We like to serve this with spaghetti and salad.
