Crème brûlée

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • ½ vanilla pod(s)
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 40 g powdered sugar
  • 100 ml milk
  • 125 g crème fraîche
  • 5 ml orange liqueur
  • n. B. Icing sugar for dusting

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 150°C. Place a bowl of water in the oven. Whisk the egg yolks, sugar, vanilla bean seeds, and milk over a bain-marie until the sugar is completely dissolved. Stir in the crème fraîche and orange liqueur and whisk over a bain-marie until the mixture thickens slightly. Be careful not to overheat the mixture, as this will cause the egg to curdle. Ladle the crème fraîche into bowls and bake for 35 minutes. Then let it cool completely. Before serving, dust the crème fraîche generously with powdered sugar and caramelize the sugar with a small blowtorch.
