Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 chicken breast fillets
  • 2 bell peppers, red, Hungarian, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 can of tomatoes, pureed
  • 200 ml red wine
  • 2 onions, red
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 40 g butter
  • salt and pepper
  • coriander

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Creole-style chicken breast

Melt the butter in a pan and caramelize the brown sugar. Caramelize the chicken breast fillets in it. Add the chopped bell pepper with the chopped garlic, the passata, and the red wine, and deglaze. Season with salt, pepper, coriander, and a little brown sugar. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 40 minutes. Serve with rice or bread (e.g., ciabatta) for dipping the sauce.
