Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 2 servings of apples
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
First, the apples need to be cored. With a little practice, the core can be easily removed using a standard apple corer. Then, the apples need to be sliced as thinly as possible. Traditional kitchen graters are only half-usable for this. I bought a professional grater online. Once you have slices as thin as possible (1 mm), place them evenly on a sheet of parchment paper. Now bake in a preheated oven at 155 degrees Celsius (310 degrees Fahrenheit) for 20 minutes, and you’re done. Note: To ensure the chips get really crispy, a wooden spoon or similar object must be wedged into the oven door so that it remains slightly open throughout the entire baking process. This allows the natural water in the apple to evaporate, resulting in a crispy crispy chip.
