Crispy fried chicken drumsticks, deliciously seasoned

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 kg chicken thighs
  • 2 tsp sage
  • 2 tsp rosemary
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • ½ tsp sweet paprika powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of cayenne pepper
  • possibly olive oil, sunflower oil or rapeseed oil

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Preheat the oven to 220°C (top/bottom heat). Briefly rinse the chicken thighs. Grind the spices with a mortar and pestle, then mix with oil to form a paste. Rub the thighs with the spice mixture and place them in the oven (if you like a crispy crust, brush the chicken pieces with a salt water solution up to four times). After 40-50 minutes, the thighs are ready. I like to serve them with fried mushrooms, deglazed with a little cream and broth, and seasoned with 2 teaspoons of tandoori paste.
