Crostini with goat's cheese and cinnamon apple

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 10 slices of ciabatta or baguette, toasted
  • 100 g goat’s cheese
  • 1 small apple, red-skinned
  • some butter
  • ½ tsp maple syrup, medium sweet or tart
  • some cinnamon powder
  • ½ tsp thyme leaves, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 minutes; Total time approx. 18 minutes

Halve the apple, core, and slice the flesh. Heat the butter in a pan, add the apple slices and maple syrup, and sauté. The apple should still be crisp and the skin should remain red. Remove from the pan and sprinkle with cinnamon. Spread the ciabatta or baguette slices with goat’s cheese, top each with an apple slice, and sprinkle with thyme.
