Spread the love

Ingredients for 16 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 kg quark (cottage cheese)
  • 1 pkt. pudding powder, vanilla
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 200 g sugar
  • lemon juice
  • 1 jar cherry(s) (sweet cherries)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

First, cream the butter until fluffy, then gradually add the sugar, vanilla sugar, egg, and a pinch of salt, then stir in half of the flour mixed with the baking powder, a spoonful at a time. Then pour the rest of the flour onto the dough and mix it in with your hands or a mixer until a crumbly mixture forms. For the filling, mix the curd cheese with the vanilla pudding powder, egg, sugar, and lemon juice on low speed, then fold in the strained cherries. Pour half of the dough onto a baking sheet, flatten it (so that the entire bottom of the sheet is covered), and spread the curd filling on top. Spread the rest of the dough (possibly by adding a little flour) over the surface of the curd cheese until it looks like crumbs, and bake the cake in an oven preheated to 175°C for 35 minutes. Allow to cool and serve in portions.
