Crumble Bar with Red Jelly

The perfect crumble bar with red jelly recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Flour
  • 350 g Cold butter
  • 0,5 tsp Salt
  • 175 g Sugar
  • A few drops of vAnillA flAvor
  • 500 g Red groats from the cooling shelf
  1. It is best to use a square springform pan (24 x 24 cm) or a round (26 cm diameter) for the preparation. Grease the form and sprinkle with flour or breadcrumbs.
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, salt and vanilla flavor in a bowl. Cut the butter into pieces. Use the dough hook of the hand mixer to make coarse sprinkles. Pour approx. 3/4 of the crumble mixture into the mold and press it onto the bottom.
  3. Spread the red fruit jelly on top, leaving a small border free all around. Spread the remaining sprinkles on top. Bake in the preheated oven at 175 degrees (or fan oven 150 degrees) for about 45 minutes on the middle rack.
  4. Take out and let cool in the mold. Remove from the mold and sprinkle with a lemon-fat glaze, or melted white couverture, or powdered sugar-lemon glaze etc …
  5. Then cut into narrow bars, or rhombuses, etc.
