Crumble Cake with Plums
The perfect crumble cake with plums recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the ground
- 200 g Flour
- 100 g Sugar
- 100 g Soft butter
- 100 g Lemon zest
- 1 Egg
For the sprinkles
- 200 g Soft butter
- 200 g Flour
- 100 g Sugar
- 50 g Ground almonds
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
For the filling
- 1 kg Plums
- 150 g Sugar
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 pinch Ground star anise
- For the base, knead all ingredients into a smooth dough and place in the refrigerator for half an hour.
- For the crumble, knead all the ingredients into a crumbly dough.
- For the filling, wash, core and quarter the plums. Caramelize with sugar, cinnamon and star anise for about 15 minutes.
- Roll out the cooled dough in a greased springform pan sprinkled with breadcrumbs, push the edge up a little and prick several times with a fork.
- Spread the caramelized plums on the batter and sprinkle with the crumble.
- Bake at 175 ° C for 50-60 minutes on the middle rack until golden brown.
