Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 200 g butter or margarine
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • n. B. cocoa powder
  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 200 g cream cheese
  • 200 g sugar
  • n. B. syrup, e.g. strawberry or woodruff
  • n. B. cocoa powder
  • e.g. vanilla powder
  • Food coloring
  • Sweets (colored sugar pearls)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

for 12 pieces

Cream the butter and sugar until creamy. Mix the flour and baking powder. Add 2 tablespoons to the butter and mix in. Add one egg and mix well again. Then add another 2 tablespoons of flour and mix in, followed by the second egg and finally the rest of the flour. If you want chocolate cupcakes, it’s no problem to add cocoa powder at the end. Fill each muffin tin with 1 tablespoon of batter and bake at 160°C (convection oven) for 20-25 minutes. While the muffins are cooling, cream the butter with 200g of sugar until creamy. Then, while stirring briskly, add the cream cheese a tablespoon at a time (not too quickly, or the cream will curdle). You can leave the cream as is or flavor it now, e.g., with cocoa or vanilla, or with syrup (preferably syrup for a soda maker). Color it with food coloring to match the flavor and refrigerate until the muffins are completely cool. Then use a pastry bag to place a cap on the muffin and decorate it with colorful sugar decorations just before serving – the more colorful the better.
