Curry cream lentils with smoked pork

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 4 slice(s) Kasseler, 150 g each, boneless
  • 3 large potatoes
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 can Lentils , with soup greens (850 ml)
  • 100 g whipped cream
  • salt and pepper
  • a few stalks of parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Heat the oil in a pan. Pat the meat dry and sear it over medium heat for about 5 minutes, turning once. Wash the potatoes, onion, and carrot. Chop all the vegetables into small pieces. Remove the meat and sear the vegetables in the hot frying fat. Sprinkle the curry powder over the vegetables and sauté briefly. Stir in the lentils and their liquid, 1/2 cup water, and the cream. Place the smoked pork on top, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Wash the parsley, finely chop it, and sprinkle it over the top.
