Pea soup with bacon

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 300 g peas (shelled peas)
  • 1 bunch of soup vegetables
  • 3 large potatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tsp meat broth, granulated
  • 1 tsp, heaped marjoram and parsley
  • 300 g bacon
  • 1 ½ liters of water

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash the peas and add them to the water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes. Peel and dice the potatoes and add them to the soup with the marjoram and bay leaf. 10 minutes later, add the diced vegetables. Meanwhile, dice the bacon and fry in a pan. Slice the onions and fry in the bacon fat. Add the onions and bacon to the soup and season with the granulated meat broth. Serve after one hour of cooking.
