curry meat

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pork (lummer meat)
  • 1 large apple
  • 1 red bell pepper(s)
  • 2 slice(s) pineapple from the can
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 pack of sauce powder (curry sauce)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • ¼ liter of water, hot
  • Salt and pepper, black
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

First, remove the fat and skin from the meat. Cut the meat into strips about 1 cm thick and 5 cm long. Sprinkle with a mixture of pepper, salt, and curry powder. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the meat for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally. Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic clove. Peel and core the apple and deseed the bell pepper. Dice the apple and cut the bell pepper into strips about 1 cm wide and 5 cm long. Cut the pineapple slices into small pieces. Mix everything into the meat and simmer, covered, over low heat for about 5 minutes. Pour in the hot water and stir in the curry sauce powder. Bring back to a boil and let simmer for a few more minutes on the turned off heat. We love to eat curry meat with potato croquettes and a fresh green salad; rice also goes well, of course.
