Currywurst sauce like from the chip shop

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 10 g olive oil
  • 120 g tomato ketchup
  • 60 g water
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp broth, granulated
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • possibly vinegar

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 9 minutes

a delicious curry sauce that goes perfectly with currywurst.

Combine oil, tomato ketchup, and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat for about 1 minute. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for another 3 minutes. Optionally, you can add 1 teaspoon of vinegar. For those who like it spicier, you can partially replace the tomato ketchup with spicy curry/chili ketchup. It’s quick and delicious with currywurst.
