Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g sugar
  • 300 g whipped cream
  • 2 bags of sweets (Daimkugeln)
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • possibly confectionery (Daim), for decoration

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Using a mixer, combine the hazelnuts, eggs, and sugar until a smooth batter forms. Line a 26cm springform pan with baking paper and pour in the batter. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 25 minutes. Allow the cake base to cool. Thoroughly beat the cream, vanilla sugar, and cocoa powder until stiff peaks form. Crush the Daimkugeln (or regular Daim chocolate, if you prefer) in a bag with a rolling pin and stir the chocolate pieces into the cream. Spread the mixture evenly over the cake base. Decorate with Daimkugeln or omit the decorations altogether.
