Ingredients for 7 servings:

  • 350 dandelion flowers (equivalent to 2.5 l)
  • 2 lemon(s), untreated
  • 1 ½ liters of water
  • 2 ½ kg sugar

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 30 minutes

Boil the dandelion blossoms, the lemons (cut into small pieces with their peel), and 1.5 liters of water together for 30 minutes. Strain the liquid through a cheesecloth. Then, in a large pot, simmer the liquid with 2.5 kg of sugar for 2 hours until thickened. Be careful not to overflow during the boil. Pour into clean jars. This yields approximately 7 jars.
