Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 300 g date(s), pitted, cut into strips
- 3 dl water
- 2 dl sugar
- 2 g butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 250 g flour
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cook the dates with the water and sugar until pureed, then let cool. Combine the remaining ingredients and stir in the puree. Pour the batter into a buttered cake pan and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (350°F) for about 75 minutes. Tip: Tastes best when left to stand for 2-3 days!
