Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g Mett (ham Mett or Thuringian Mett)
- 250 g minced meat, mixed
- 3 stalk(s) leeks
- 1 large can of tomatoes, peeled
- 1 large onion(s)
- 1 can of mushrooms
- 250 ml beef broth or more to taste
- 150 g herb cream cheese
- 75 g cream cheese spread
- Worcestershire sauce
- White wine or sparkling wine
- Salt and pepper, black, freshly ground
- possibly aromatic
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
Chop the onions and leeks into pieces and fry. Either form the minced meat and ground beef into dumplings and fry, or add them whole to the pot and fry until crumbly. Add the onions and leeks. Add the tomatoes and mushrooms and bring to a boil briefly. Then add the processed cheese, broth, Worcestershire sauce, a little white wine or sparkling wine, pepper, and salt. Mix everything well and simmer for another 15 minutes. Season to taste, adding a pinch of sugar if desired. Homemade onion bread goes well with this.
