Delicious pepper butter

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 ½ tsp peppercorns, red
  • 1 ½ tsp peppercorns, green
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 250 g butter
  • 1 tsp honey
  • ½ tsp ginger, finely chopped
  • ½ clove(s) garlic, chopped
  • 1 pinch of orange peel, untreated
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of cayenne pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Coarsely grind the peppercorns, toast them slightly in a pan without adding any fat, and let them cool. Spread them along the long side of a sheet of parchment paper and roll them into a roll. Refrigerate for one hour, then slice and serve. Variation: Green Pepper Butter: Roughly chop 3 tablespoons of green peppercorns, mix with 250g of softened butter, and season with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.
