Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 3 tbsp caraway seeds
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 3 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Salt
  • 1 head of iceberg lettuce
  • 180 g quail beans, from the can
  • 250 g corn, from the can
  • 10 small tomatoes
  • 85 g olives
  • 60 g Cheddar, grated
  • 1 m.-large shallot(s)
  • 250 ml dressing (French dressing)
  • 150 g feta cheese
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Chop the onion, then brown it with the ground beef in a large pan until the meat is no longer pink. Drain the fat from the pan, then season with caraway, garlic powder, chili powder, and paprika. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Roughly chop the iceberg lettuce. Drain the peas and corn. Slice the tomatoes, olives, and shallot. In a large bowl, combine the iceberg lettuce, peas, corn, tomatoes, olives, cheddar cheese, and shallots. Toss the salad with the French dressing. Serve the salad on plates with the warm meat and top with crumbled feta and tortilla chips.
