Dessert: Vanilla Pudding with Steamed Plums

The perfect dessert: vanilla pudding with steamed plums recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 liter Milk
  • 3 tbsp Strength
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1 piece Vanilla pod
  • 3 tbsp Sugar brown raw sugar
  • 1 bag Plums Tk a.m. stock
  • 1 Msp Cinammon
  • 1 piece Vanilla pod
  • 2 tbsp Muscovado sugar
  1. Warm the milk in a water bath, put the vanilla pod and add the sugar, stir everything well, do not run away.
  2. Mix the starch in a little water and, when the milk is very hot, stir in the starch in sips until the milk begins to thicken and stir well, no skin should be able to form.
  3. Do not stir in the previously separated egg yolks until the pudding is no longer so hot, otherwise the egg will coagulate (flake) it should only be tucked in.
  4. Rinse the silicone molds with cold water, fill in the pudding and put it in the refrigerator.

To the plums

  1. The plums are halved, put them in a saucepan and slowly warm up, add the vanilla pod (there are 2 pieces in the tube) and the cinnamon.
  2. When the plums are hot, stir everything well while stirring in the muscovado sugar, from now on turn off the heat and let it cool down again. When it was only lukewarm I put it in the fridge ……..

Serving

  1. Turn over the silicone molds and place the plums around the pudding, add a little sauce, you can also tie it, but we don’t like that.
  2. Exactly the right thing at these temperatures ;-)))
