Dessert with Quark – 3 Delicious Recipes

A dessert with quark can add variety to the everyday menu. Dairy product is very versatile. Especially a homemade quark dish is well received by children. We have put together three delicious recipes for you.

Dessert: vanilla curd dish with honeydew melon

You can lure almost any child out from behind the oven with a quark dish. It’s quick to make and only requires a few ingredients. In addition to the classic basic recipe, it can be varied greatly.

  • Ingredients: For 4 people you need 400 g quark, 4 tbsp yogurt, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 4 tbsp honey, a few lemon balm leaves, 4 wooden skewers, 200 g honeydew melon
  • Preparation: Put the quark with yogurt and honey in a mixing bowl. Mix the mass until it is creamy.
  • Add the vanilla extract and stir in.
  • Cut out 12 balls from the peeled honeydew melon. Puree the remaining pulp.
  • Divide the quark mixture into 4 dessert glasses. Spread the pureed pulp on top.
  • Skewer 3 melon balls alternately with lemon balm leaves on a wooden skewer and place this over the dessert glass.

Current quark dish

This dessert is great when diabetics join the meal.

  • Ingredients: For 4 people you need 250 g quark, 250 g soured milk, 25 g oatmeal, 36 g fructose, 100 g currant jam
  • Preparation: Put the harbor flakes in a pan without fat and roast them. Then let them cool on a plate.
  • Put the quark with the soured milk, jam, and fructose in a mixing bowl and mix everything until a creamy mass is formed. However, reserve 1 tablespoon of jam.
  • Divide the mass between 4 dessert glasses. Put a small dollop of jam on top of each glass.
  • Just before serving, sprinkle each glass with a few rolled oats. This gives the quark dish a little crunch.

Espresso curd

A must for every coffee lover. Serve a specialty coffee with this dessert.

  • Ingredients: For 4 people you need 500 g quark, 250 g whipped cream, 100 g sugar, 2 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tbsp instant espresso powder or a cold espresso, 1 packet of vanilla sugar, 50 g milk chocolate
  • Preparation: Put the quark and sugar in a mixing bowl and stir together for about 3 minutes. Then use your thumb and forefinger to check whether the sugar crystals have dissolved.
  • Divide the cottage cheese evenly between two bowls. Add the vanilla sugar to one bowl and the cocoa powder and espresso or espresso powder to the other bowl. Stir both bowls for a minute each.
  • Whip the cream until stiff and pour half into each bowl. Lift the cream under the respective quark mixture.
    Take tall dessert glasses and alternately layer both masses in evenly.
  • Decorate the glasses with chocolate shavings, which you can scrape off the milk chocolate with a vegetable peeler.
